15 days till departure. Well that was the plan. Learning to be flexible with life according to God's plan can be hard.

Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a mans heart but, it's the Lord's purpose that prevails.

We decided to postpone our departure till October 5th. It just so happens that that's the last seasonal flight Condor Air services between Anchorage and Frankfurt. You see... Here's a little story I've go to tell...

Robert's business, Arbor Capital Management, is in the process of streamlining operations systems and that takes time. A little more time that originally planned.

The delay also gives me a chance to figure out how to "travelschool" (cuz we ain't gonna be at home) three boys who already see this year as one big party. Structure. Discipline. Responsibility. Oh my.

Robert and I sat down with the boys one evening to let them know of the new plan. WE shared how we came to that decision, how it was hard for us to do so but knew it was the right thing to do. Real heart stuff. They just listened and then shared a bit about how they felt. And then the reality of living in a house of boys hit. Ryan mistook Robert saying "heart" for "fart".

The discussion and the evening ended in belly aching laughter.

October 5th it is!

I don't expect to write many more posts before we depart. However, I did want to let you all know of our delay and to test out our new blog spot. (Thanks Kym, you rock.) After October, 5th the plan is to have one post everyday authored by one family member or another with all of us taking turns.
